It truly is amazing to see the talent of some clients who have never painted before.
A few were initially hesitant to join the art classes but now they love it!
The fortnightly art classes are run by Almeta, who is inspiring the clients to explore their creative side and to develop their artistic potential.
As part of a long-time activity named “Art with Almeta”, clients have been painting on plant pots, paper and canvas with watercolour, acrylic and mixed media to exhibit a wide range of still life and landscapes.
Most of the artworks feature nature scenes like flowers, valleys, beaches and skyscapes.
The abundance of creativity and inspiration never seems to stop as Almeta guides them through the world of art and shares some of her insider tips and tricks.
A few brush strokes and dabs of paint is the way to start at Almeta’s art classes.
And when it comes to creating beautiful artworks, Almeta is an expert on it all.
Her patience and dedication have come a long way for the clients at Arcare Maroochydore.
They simply adore Almeta and they always look forward to her art classes.
“I’ve learnt so much from Almeta and I just can’t stop. I love painting now because of her,” a client commented.
“Painting is such a great activity for the clients. As they paint, they get a little sparkle in their eyes and time seems to fly,” Lifestyle coordinator Kerry said.
Time certainly goes by a lot quicker as the clients concentrate hard on painting their artworks while catching up with friends in the activities room.
And we cannot wait to showcase the incredible artwork of some of the clients at the residence.
