Arcare Parkwood attending Pimpama’s bike launch

In early March, clients from Arcare Parkwood went out on a bus outing slightly different to their usual activity. This time, they set off to attend Arcare Pimpama’s Bike Launch for an exclusive ride on their newest trishaw.

As the Parkwood clients rode around the Pimpama residence, they could not help waving and laughing as their friends were cheering them on.

It wasn’t long before more clients wanted to have a go on ‘Nessie’ after seeing how much fun everyone was having.

A client commented, ‘What a fun morning, I’m glad I attended this event!’

This trishaw bike is the first of its kind in the Gold Coast community and in Arcare aged care, so we are looking forward to more rides on it in the future.

‘I felt like the queen while I was on the bike. And the yummy ice cream on a hot day was a great treat,’ a client added.

After many rides on Nessie and with Wayne the volunteer pilot rider, clients treated themselves to some delicious Toblerone and Passionfruit Cheesecake gelato to cool down after an exciting day.
