Concert with a twist at Arcare Sanctuary Manors

The clients at Arcare Sanctuary Manors enjoy a good musical performance but this time, they had a concert with a twist.

After many months of practice, the clients performed a special rendition of ‘My Favourite Things – the Seniors Version’.

It was a humorous parody of the famous song from ‘The Sound of Music’.

In matching Christmas shirts and headbands, the choir sang in unison beautifully.

Some even had props such as an onion, a chilli and a tin of spice to go with the appropriate lyrics.

Following on from the concert, team members had a special surprise for the clients.

They dressed up in nightgowns, wigs and a bald cap to spread a little Christmas joy to the clients.

Their costumes were so convincing that some of the clients at Arcare Sanctuary Manors were wondering who these new clients were!

Everyone was laughing and cheering the ladies and gentleman on as they jiggled, wiggled and shimmied their way to the lounge room dancefloor.

The music was so infectious that some of the clients could not help but get out of their chairs and boogie along with the others.

It was a wonderful time as the clients and team members had big smiles on their faces and they were all having such fun.

Some family members even took out their mobile phones to film the hilariously entertaining concert.

The excited cheers and exclamations from the crowd did nothing to stop Bella, the residence cat from having a comfortable snooze on the lounge chair.

As you step into the Arcare Sanctuary Manors residence, you cannot help but feel the Christmas joy.

The rainbow Christmas lights, red Santa hats, silver and gold Christmas trees and cheerful team members just seem to lift everybody’s spirits!
