My name is Helen Graczyk, I live in Rochedale South which is very close to Arcare Springwood.
I have been married to my husband Michael for many years now and we have four children and four grandchildren.
I worked as an Enrolled Nurse for over 40 years and I have taken on many roles during my nursing career.
2 years ago, I wanted to go back to my roots in nursing so I became an assistant nurse.
Previously, I had completed my training in an aged care hospital.
I really enjoyed the different roles but I never had the time to sit, talk and do the little things with the clients.
I was simply too busy caring for their physical needs.
However, I often wondered what it would be like to work as a lifestyle assistant.
So when I saw an opportunity come up, I applied for the lifestyle role here at Arcare Springwood.
I love being around clients, helping them to feel a part of this new community, helping them to maintain their independence and fulfilling their own choices and desires.
Now, I have my dream job and every day I am fulfilled, from being surrounded by such wonderful team members and clients.
