Clients at our Arcare Helensvale aged care residence had an eventful day sipping delicious coffee and enjoying nature.
They went for a special morning tea at Café Two, where they enjoyed their muffins and lattes.
Before we knew it, their plates were cleaned off!
Everyone was raving about the chocolate and blueberry muffins they were served at Café two.
They also stated that they have never seen or eaten such a big muffin!
Because of its huge size, there was a lot of sharing.
After filling their tummies with such yummy food, they decided to go for a walk in the park at Tallowwood Park in Upper Coomera.
The clients reminisced about the time when Upper Coomera seemed to be so far away from everything, and the days when it was all dust with a single wooden bridge.
This was later replaced with a double bridge named after John Muntz.
During the 2017 floods, a part of the bridge collapsed and was washed away due to high rain falls.
To the clients, it was clear where the reconstruction was completed.
Haydee mentioned that she enjoyed the walk tremendously as the peace and tranquillity was amazing.
But she was more amazed by the variety of wild birds she saw!
There were galahs, corellas, lorikeets, as well as Darters spreading their wings, basking in the sun while drying their wings.
“I definitely want to visit this Tallowwood Park again, but next time I will bring some greens to feed the ducks,” she commented.
