Arcare Helensvale St James went on a day ‘trip’ to Samoa and even bought souvenirs! The Armchair Travel Group was taken on a trip to Samoa where Foloi, the Lifestyle Coordinator, greeted them with leis and coconut drinks while playing the ukulele. She took them on a tour of the famous beach where Return to Paradise was filmed as well as the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum.
The travellers then stopped off at a craft market to purchase some souvenirs before they were farewelled with a traditional Samoan dance. Upon their return, a bongo drum performance by Ago had everyone tapping their feet and eager to drum their own beats.
The day finished with the Helensvale Dance Academy delighting residents with a beautiful performance.
