An evening of Christmas carols at Arcare Maroochydore

On a Friday at Arcare Maroochydore, the clients were about to take part in an evening of Christmas carols.

Ten clients who were part of the residence choir group were seated at the front of the theatre, all wearing their matching red and green Christmas shirts.

There were over 40 people in the audience that night but the group was feeling pretty confident and happy because they have been practicing for a while now.

As the evening of carols began, the melodic voices of the choir group and the instrumental piano could be heard throughout the residence.

They sang a number of carols such as ‘Away in a Manger’, ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’ and ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas.

And song after song, the audience moved to the music and gave many rounds of applause.

“I really enjoyed tonight, the singing was great,” client Merle commented.

There were light snacks and refreshments available after the carols, where many clients and their families stayed to chat.

Adding to the Christmas spirit, residence manager Radhika also thoughtfully made personalised gifts, featuring her own drawings and quilling for the clients.

As the fairy lights twinkled on in the central courtyard, the conversations kept flowing as many enjoyed the cool outdoors and celebrated this festive season together.

It truly was a magical evening filled with festive singing, cheery conversations and joyful laughs.
