Arcare Aged Care is set to open a new five-star residence in Logan Reserve on the 4th of May, bringing state-of-the-art amenities and excellence in care to Queensland’s south-eastern region.
Measuring 5,000sqm, our 91-bed residence has three communities tailored to care needs; Cunningham, Watego and Eden, names that all have strong connections to the region’s history.
The residence will offer a mix of permanent and dementia care, using our award-winning Dedicated Assignment model which places relationships between the residents, their family and staff above all else.
Arcare CEO Colin Singh says, “Our Dedicated Assignment model was first rolled out across Arcare’s residences throughout 2014 and 2015 and was awarded a 2015 Better Practice Award by the federal government.
“Our relationship-first approach to celebrating and supporting old age is not only unique to Arcare, but also considered by aged care experts globally to be at the forefront of elder-care. This approach is driven by Arcare’s values of relationships, uniqueness, partnerships and flexibility,” says Mr Singh.
Arcare’s Logan Reserve residence is designed with an Industrial Scandinavian interior and also boasts an array of unique features, such as 100KW solar panels, making it a world-class residency.
Residents will have access to amenities such as a boutique café, three indoor courtyards, a potting shed, raised garden beds, open activity rooms with kitchen facilities, a Hair Salon, Theatre, Well-being Centre, Private Dining Room, Piano Room and suites featuring courtyard or verandah access.
Arcare Logan Reserve is situated just opposite Halcyon Rise Retirement Village, providing a fantastic opportunity to connect with more Logan City residents and stay involved in the community.
Residence Manager and local to the area, Hayley Palmer, says she’s looking forward to creating relationships with the residents and staff of Arcare Logan Reserve after working in aged care for 13 years.
“I decided to become a Residence Manager as I would like to manage and lead a residence that demonstrates our values. Building relationships and partnership with the residents, their families, and the team at Logan Reserve will be very important to me.
“I want to support the wider team and provide safe, quality care and an environment where the residents feel like we are their extended family. My aim is to help make this their home and for their families to trust in our care and services.”
The residence officially opens on the 4th May 2021, with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by the Arcare Logan Reserve team.
