Arcare Springwood open for business

Arcare Springwood was given a warm welcome by locals last week with approximately 1880 people attending the Grand Opening celebrations.

Arcare Springwood’s first resident, 87-year-old Malcolm Bray, was honoured with the duty of cutting the ribbon on Friday 15 February – announcing our 5-star aged care community officially open for business.

A local for 47 years, Malcolm is just one of many who will join move into Arcare Springwood over the next few weeks.

Arcare Springwood Blessing

The opening festivities stretched over three-days, with a multifaith blessing and Industry Day on Thursday 14 February, the ribbon cutting by officials and exclusive tour for Elements Retirement Village on Friday 15 February and a Public Open Day on Saturday 16th February.

As part of the Public Open Day, Arcare Springwood offered behind-the-scenes tours of the amenities, where guests were invited to view the rooms and meet with specialised professionals who will be working at the residence.

Guests were treated to guided tours of the new $750k community boardwalk (funded by Arcare), which borders the property. Lead by Logan City Council Park Rangers, guests got a chance to see and learn about the local flora and fauna up close before the boardwalk is declared officially open to the public.
