Celebrating a myriad of cultures at Arcare Eight Plains

Clients and team members in our Arcare Eight Mile Plains community celebrated Multicultural Day by sharing their cultures through history, costumes and cuisines.

The Lifestyle team were inspired by United Nations Day, so they decided to celebrate Eight Mile Plains’ diversity and multiculturalism.

The residence was decorated with flags from countries all over the world, with a special focus on the countries where our team members are from.

Together, we also enjoyed multi-coloured muffins to symbolize the myriad of cultures and background that live and work in our community.

Residence Manager Wendy dressed in her traditional Scottish dress while Harman wore her traditional Indian dress.

It was a beautiful sight to see so many different cultures working harmoniously alongside each other.

Here at our Arcare Eight Mile Plains community, we believe that it is important to celebrate and cherish multiculturalism.

‘I really enjoyed today! It was great seeing all the costumes and learning about different cultures. I feel like I’ve gotten to know the staff here a little better,’ a client shared.
