Celebrating our mothers on Mother’s Day

Celebrating Mother’s Day at Arcare Maroochydore was very special indeed with a Mother’s Day Concert given by singer June Fowler on Friday at Happy Hour.

Then, everyone had chocolates, chrysanthemums which was the official flower for Mother’s Day and a decorative silver locket for each of the ladies on Sunday.

The Mother’s Day gift of a decorative silver locket was enclosed in a lace box, shaped like a butterfly tied together with a chiffon ribbon.

“The ladies especially loved the chain’s clasp which was magnetic so it was easy to put on and take off,” Petra, Lifestyle Coordinator said.

“The ladies were thrilled as the locket meant that they could insert a special photo of their mother to wear close to their heart,” she explained.

The single chrysanthemum is considered to be the official Mother’s Day flower and each of the ladies received one of those as well.

“It was a great delight to feel special on the day and for us all to honour our mothers,” Lorraine said as she proudly placed the locket around her neck.

“I didn’t have children but my mother was the most important person in my life and I’ll be proud to have a photo of my mother in my locket,” said Vilma.

It was a wonderful celebration to recognise mothers and how much they have done for all of us.

Celebrating Mother’s Day is important for team members and our clients to reminisce on memories and be grateful for them.

It was a great day for our clients to feel appreciated and love as they were showered with gifts and lots of love.
