Centennial Celebration of Beryl Reese at Arcare Eight Mile Plains

With her loving family around her at the Arcare Eight Mile Plains residence, Beryl celebrated a birthday milestone as she turned 100 years old!

For her centennial celebration, she received congratulatory cards from Queen Elizabeth, Premier of Queensland Anastacia Palaszckuk MP, Leader of the Labour party Anthony Albanese MP, Governor General of Australia David Hurley, Governor of Queensland Paul De Jersey and more importantly, her relatives and family members.

Beryl’s grandniece shared cake with her and also presented her with a very special gift from the family – a pretty winter blanket with her name on it to keep her extra warm.

Lifestyle Co-ordinator Fonzie organised the party on the weekend and even surprised the family with superhero Batman bringing the birthday cake in.

Chef Ash Mudiyanselage had thoughtfully prepared a colourful cake for Beryl and her family to enjoy and Beryl’s two son had the honour of cutting the cake.

Beryl’s family were also very thankful to have the opportunity to celebrate Beryl’s milestone of becoming a centenarian!
