Arcare Glenhaven’s Christmas Party welcomed over 300 residents, family and friends to a function full of food, activities and Christmas cheer.
There was something exciting happening in almost every corner of the residence!
Residents invited their family and friends to enjoy the festivities with them.
Both upstairs and downstairs serveries were set up as Christmas buffets.
Here everyone could help themselves to traditional Christmas foods such as pork, beef, prawns, ham, fried rice and roast veggies.
Of course, there was a beer or wine in hand for most!
Lunch was topped off with a range of desserts; everyone choosing between truffle, crème brulee, Christmas pudding and pavlova.
After eating, residents and guests roamed the corridors exploring all of the activities and entertainment.
With help from gardening volunteers, some arranged their own Christmas succulent pot plant.
Others enjoyed decorating their own Christmas bauble and making their own personalised Christmas cards.
A special Christmas themed Arcare photobooth had residents and families lining up to take their silly photos; giving them a nice memento of the special occasion.
Talented Arcare team member Ujjwal entertained crowds in the courtyard with his guitar and beautiful voice.
Jerry, an entertainer at many of our NSW residences, also joined the party – singing and performing a range of Christmas carols and all-time favourites in the Sensitive Care unit.
To top it all off, Santa visited everyone at the party!
Residents and their guests absolutely loved having their photo taken with Santa; some even lucky enough to get a dance with him.
‘You’re never too old for a Santa photo!’ said resident Nora.
Christmas themed guessing competitions and movies also entertained the party-goers on the day.
Arcare Glenhaven was beaming with happiness, love and Christmas cheer as everyone joined together in celebrating the festive season.
