In honour of the opening of Sydney’s iconic Opera House in 1973, clients in our Arcare Kanwal community made their very own colourful versions of the Aussie icon.
At one of their craft sessions, they decided to pay tribute to the famous landmark and make their own versions of it.
‘I still remember the day it opened,’ Dulcie commented while she chose her craft materials.
Using coloured paper, glitter and paint, from the big smiles on their faces, you could tell that the Kanwal clients enjoyed the session and were extremely proud of their creations.
After a morning of craft, they continued their Opera House celebrations by going on a virtual visit of the building.
From the comforts of their armchairs, they admired the sheer beauty of the Opera House in all its glory and witnessed up close the 1 million tiles that cover its roof.
With over 10 million people visiting the icon each year, Sydney’s Opera House has certainly become an integral part of modern Aussie culture.
