Doreen creates her own colourful gremlins at Arcare St James

Clients at Arcare Helensvale St James have been thinking outside the box to try out different skills and even start new hobbies, such as making ‘gremlins’!

One such client is the lovely Doreen who decided to get creative during the precautionary lockdown at the residence.

Recently, Doreen gathered strings of wool, stick-on googly eyes and ribbons to make her very own ‘gremlins’.

These colourful creatures fit in a hand nicely and are adorable to look at!

Doreen has already given some of her handmade gremlins to other clients to cheer up their day.

‘I really enjoyed making them and if I can make other’s smile, then I’ve done my part!’ Doreen shared.

It is wonderful to see the clients in the Arcare Helensvale St James community taking the initiative to lift each other’s spirits up.

These crafty activities also enable the clients to participate in physically and mentally engaging activities.
