Easter Fun Day at Arcare Taigum

Clients, families and team members were invited to attend the Easter Fun Day at Arcare Taigum. The Lifestyle team organised a morning full of activities. This included Easter Bonnet making, Easter biscuit decorating, an Easter Bonnet parade, an Easter egg hunt and ending with a BBQ in the courtyard.

As everyone was arriving, the kids were given the choice of either biscuit decorating or bonnet making. It didn’t take long for the kids to get into the activities, along with some clients assisting.

A wide variety of Easter Bonnets were made and the amount of creativity and artistic talent on the biscuits was fantastic. Once they had decorated their biscuits many of the kids decided to eat them.

When these activities were completed, the kids were handed a basket and it was time for the Easter Egg hunt. Lifestyle staff had hidden the eggs in the theatre, activity room, lounge room and hallways. The kids and clients headed off together. It didn’t take long for the baskets to start filling. At the end of the hunt everyone joined together for a group photo.

This was followed by the group parading through the lounge room to show the residents their bonnets. Finally, it was time to eat. Everyone headed to the front courtyard for a BBQ lunch prepared by the kitchen. It was a lovely day celebrating Easter and everyone enjoyed themselves.
