On 25th September, Wednesday, Arcare Helensvale St James celebrated hump day with a Pop-up Night Market for the community.
The Night Market experience was a first for many visitors, clients and team members.
Soothing live music trickled from the lounge room, into the courtyard and the foyer, adding to the laidback vibe of the event.
There was a good ol’ fashioned sausage sizzle, where the gold-coin donations went toward Dementia Australia in honour of Dementia Awareness Month.
Together, we managed to raise $154.20!
There was also plenty of chats and laughter as everyone enjoyed the cool breeze in the outdoor courtyard.
The complimentary wine and nibbles were also a hit among everyone!
As lifestyle coordinator, Foloi went around the residence playing on her ukulele, her singing and dancing brought smiles to everyone’s faces.
Some of the clients also ventured out of their rooms to enjoy a post-dinner drink with family and friends.
The friendliness and welcoming atmosphere of Arcare Helensvale St James was definitely felt by everyone who visited that night.
Adrian, who is a close family friend of one the clients said, “This is a lovely place to be. We are having such a nice night that it feels just like home”.
There were a variety of stalls selling clothes, perfume diffusers, jewellery, homewares, embroidery, bric-a-brac and resin art.
It was such a great night celebrating local businesses and creatives, with one of our team members also selling her deliciously homemade dog treats!
For Luan, the admin officer at St James, Milly Pilly Dog Treats is much-loved hobby of hers.
She creates homemade dog treats that are healthy and delicious!
