A trip to Stradbroke Island brought back fond memories for Douglas, from Arcare Slacks Creek, who used to visit the area on regular fishing trips. He would catch a barge to Stradbroke Island, and then a charter boat to Morton Island where he would happily spend an afternoon doing what he loves most, fishing.
On this particular journey to Stradbroke Island, Douglas shared stories with fellow residents of his many adventures and recalled his favourite catches.
Everyone enjoyed a morning tea at Brown Lake, with a prime view of the beautiful surrounds. Next on the agenda was travelling to Amity Point for lunch, before exploring Point Lookout and heading to Dunwich for afternoon tea.
