Happy Chinese New Year

The Arcare Keysborough Community celebrated a festive Chinese New Year in February.

Traditional Chinese music helped to set the scene, while residents discussed the exotic flavours of their yum cha high tea.

The Chinese zodiac was discussed and everyone spoke about which animal represents their birth year.

Later in the afternoon, two students from Haileybury College personally delivered lucky money and fortune cookies to each resident. The accuracy (and inaccuracy) of some of the fortunes made many laugh!

Arcare Aged Care Keysborough 70s Birthday Bash

With 10 birthdays being celebrated in February, it was only fitting that the Arcare Keysborough Community celebrated the ‘Biggest Birthday Party’.

It was also a very special event as Norma was celebrating her wonderful 101st birthday.

Staff donned bright colours, jumpsuits and turtlenecks; suiting the 1970s theme very well.

Jan did a wonderful job singing some of the community’s favourite 70s hits and getting everyone up on the dancefloor.
