I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

There was plenty going on at Arcare Point Lonsdale in the lead up to Daffodil Day.

While the craft group were busy making daffodil decorations, Romola and Ailsa began reciting the famous William Wordsworth poem ‘I wandered Lonely as a Cloud’.

Romola, who is well-versed in poetry reciting as her mother was a well-known reciter in the area, offered to recite the poem for the community at the Daffodil Day get-together.

‘My mother told me to take a deep breath and stand up straight while reciting,’ she recalled.

The community was most impressed and appreciative of Romola’s contribution to the day.

She is now encouraging others to give reciting a go, in particular to the poetry group.
