Clients and team members at Arcare Nirvana Avenue dressed up in vibrant, colourful outfits to celebrate Indian Independence Day.
Indian Independence Day is a national holiday in India commemorating the country’s independence from the United Kingdom.
With many team members who have come from India, the celebration was particularly important to the community.
It was also a chance for the community to celebrate their multiculturalism as many in the community come from different backgrounds.
A stunning Bollywood dance performance kept the audience captivated; and it was particularly exciting to see that Nishi who used to work at Arcare Brighton was one of the dancers.
It was only appropriate that the community indulge in some traditional Indian cuisine including samosas and curry puffs. For the sweet tooths there was gulab jamun balls and authentic chai tea.
