Bocce, meatballs and pizza for Italian Day at Arcare Tagium

In early June, clients and team members at Arcare Taigum celebrated Festa della Repubblica, also known as Italian Day.

Cathy and Kerry from the Lifestyle team had decorated the dining rooms with pictures of scenic Italy, balloons and their national flags.

Team members were also encouraged to dress in Italian colours of red, green and white.

Clients participated in an exciting game of Bocce and made pizza in the morning.

While in the afternoon, they enjoyed some sweet treats from the residence gelato trolley.

For lunch, they tucked into a delicious meal of meatballs in Italian sauce and tartufo for dessert.

One of our clients from Italy, Emilio shared with the Lifestyle team that he still remembers the referendum that took in place in Italy when he was a young boy.

On the 2nd of June, the country came together to decide if they would remain under a monarchy or become a republic in 1946.

And that is how we came to celebrate Italy’s National Day.
