Making new friends

Joan moved into the Arcare Knox community only a few months, and was initially very hesitant and anxious about the big move.

Joan has since found settled into the community and found her footing, joining the knitting club. Finding others with similar interests and forming friendships has helped Joan adjust to life in aged care.

Joan now attends every one of the club’s meetings, and she enjoys every minute of it.

“The friendship group in the knitting club has really helped Joan settle into the community. It’s important to feel like you belong, and I think Joan has found that in the group.” Lifestyle coordinator, Lee said.
