Making their own grass heads at Arcare Kanwal

Clients participated in a new activity at Arcare Kanwal where they made their very own one-of-a-kind grass heads.

The first step to making the grass heads was to dress them up by drawing an outfit on our plant pots.

We even used Google to give us some inspiration on how to dress them.

‘Look how adorable they are!’ client Lynette Darby commented.

The next step in the process was messy but fun as we filled in the stocking with peat moss and grass seeds.

Wearing gloves to keep our hands cleaned, we filled the stockings to form a perfectly sized grass head.

‘How can getting this dirty be so much fun?’ client Betty Lyn said.

With some help from the Lifestyle team, clients tied the bottom and placed them in their pots.

Next, we had to ensure the heads stood out from one another so we decided to include distinct accessories such as glasses and earrings.

‘I’m going to name mine Zelda,’ client Kathleen Northey said as she arranged her pot.

Even though it was a messy activity, the clients had a lot of fun making their first grass head and expressing their creativity!
