Making authentic pasta from scratch for Italian Day

Clients and team members at Arcare Glenhaven celebrated Italian National Day by making their own pasta and dressing up for it during their weekly Wacky Wednesday theme.

Everyone was asked to dress up in the Italian flag colours which are red, white, and green.

The Lifestyle team took the theme to the next level by wearing white moustaches which made everyone laugh, especially the clients and their families who were visiting.

The clients played an Italian game of Bocce which everyone loved and there were lots of cheers and laughter that filled the corridors as the teams battled for the most points.

The Dementia Community also had a great time celebrating Italian National Day by making pasta from scratch.

Clients Filippa and Teresa, who are of Italian descent helped to make the pasta.

Teresa is known for being the best pasta maker in the family as everyone loves her ravioli!

‘I feel like I’m right back at home; I really missed being able to cook for others, but today I can and I am very happy,’ she said.
