Meaningful moments

Meaningful moments and new friendships were created when 21 children from Florence Road Pre School dropped in to visit the Surrey Hills Community in June.

Clients helped the children with activities, including balloon games, and shared their favourite songs with the visitors.

For the children without grandparents, the opportunity to develop a connection with someone from an older generation is a privilege.

While some of the children were shy when they first walked through the doors; by the end of their visit they had created some special friendships.

One client commented, ‘We remember the days when we were bringing up our own children and then the contribution we made when caring for our grandchildren.’

Clients are now looking forward to catching up with their new friends at regular get-togethers throughout the year.
