Checking in with friends during Mental Health Week at Arcare Eight Mile Plains

Clients in our Arcare Eight Mile Plains community celebrated Mental Health Week at the beginning of October with activities focused on mindfulness and personal wellbeing.

Team members and clients were given green ribbons to wear to help raise awareness for mental health, along with a Healthy Minds cap that was sponsored by Officeworks.

We also enjoyed muffins with green icing to bring a little sweet treat to team members and clients.

Lifestyle team Fonzie and Vanessa also made sushi for everyone to enjoy.

During Happy Hour at the residence, clients had a lot of fun playing games, winding down over drinks and checking in with how their friends were doing.

After their meaningful conversations, many decided that they were in the mood for music, so they got up to dance their troubles away.

‘It was a really fun day, I’m glad we took some time to see how everyone is going. Mental health is important to talk about and we want to support each other on that,’ a team member shared.
