More than knitting
Every fortnight a group of keen knitters in the Templestowe Community meet up to work on current craft projects; and most importantly catch up.
Their recent project has been to knit blankets for the homeless. They start by knitting individual squares which are all laid out and finally sewn together to make one big blanket.
Not only is the group contributing to a worthy cause, it’s also been an important project as the ladies have made new friends.
The knitters have also experienced a sense of achievement simply by sharing their skills and giving back to the wider community.
