The Keysborough community celebrated Mother’s Day with a decadent high tea afternoon. The residence also celebrated by hosting events throughout the week leading up to the special day. Clients were encouraged to participate in activities, such as decorating the lounge areas, arts and crafts, flower arranging, poster making and special luncheons in the private dining room. Lifestyle coordinator, Alison recalled, how the all the clients that participated in the events and activities enjoyed feeling involved and celebrated.
The Sensitive Care unit was buzzing with excitement on the morning of Mother’s Day, as a special high tea brought clients and their families together to celebrate the joyous occasion. A special thanks was given to nurse, Lorie, who gave up her time to attend on the morning, as she couldn’t bear to miss out.
A raffle was held during the high tea afternoon for everyone to be involved in. There was excitement throughout the residence as the winners of the raffle were called. Allan was very happy to win the major prize of a bath robe, slippers and ‘Best Mum’ mug, which he was keen to present to his wife later that day. All the mothers at Arcare Keysborough were thrilled when presented with a personalised gift from Arcare. The team members at Keysborough also made the day memorable by dressing up in costumes and fancy dress.
