The first step is to obtain an assessment from My Aged Care. This is the starting point for determining your eligibility to access aged care services supported by the Australian Government.
This assessment will assist in determining your health care needs and the services required to meet those needs.
Choosing an aged care residence that is right for you is complex – there are many things to take into consideration.
A good start is to personally visit a range of residences so you can get a feel for the culture and compare your options.

Arrange a private tour at one of Arcare’s aged care residences where you will have the opportunity to talk with someone who knows aged care and understands what you are going through.

It is important that you are informed about the fees and payment options for residential aged care. Our team members are happy to discuss this with you and to outline a range of options to suit your financial situation.
To apply to live in an Arcare Residence you will need a copy of your aged care assessment, your financial assessment (if applicable) and a completed Arcare Application. You can download a copy of the Arcare Application below.
When you have gathered and completed these documents you can email them to us or drop them in personally at your preferred Arcare residence. Please address your Arcare Application to the Client Services Manager who you have connected with.
Once you’ve received confirmation and a date, it’s time to move into your chosen Arcare Residence. Arcare team members will be there for you to provide support and encouragement every step of the way.
