Oaks Day 2018

The ladies in the Maidstone Community dressed to the nines for a glamorous Oaks Day celebration.

Also known as ‘Ladies Day’, Oaks Day is a highlight of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival.

In the lead up to the event, the ladies enjoyed picking out their outfits and matching with fascinators and accessories.

With champagne, canapés and live entertainment from Tony Merlino; there were whispers that Maidstone’s version of Oaks Day was better than the one at Flemington.

The celebrations were particularly special for the ladies who used to enjoy going to the races every year. It was also exciting for those who had never been to the races before as it gave a taste of what it’s all about.
