Purim Celebration

Arcare Caulfield residents, family and staff welcomed forty students from Yavneh College to their home to celebrate Purim (Jewish holiday). The holiday is a celebration of Jewish deliverance as told in the Book of Esther, and is a joyous occasion that has everyone dressing up in bright colours or anything that will bring a smile to your face.

The students’ arrived in fantastic costumes and entertained everyone with lively singing and dancing, which was enough to have the residents getting up and joining them. The students were also kind enough to present the Arcare Caulfield community with handmade cards, who in return presented the school group with a basket of Hamantashen (traditional Purim sweet biscuits) to thank them for their fabulous visit.
