Arcare Burnside recently enjoyed a lovely outing to Riddell’s Creek where they couldn’t resist feeding some of their morning tea to the ducks! One of our volunteers on the excursion, Lesley, was having so much fun and was reminded of a poem called ‘Duck’s Ditty’ that many of the residents remembered from their school days.
Duck’s Ditty by Kenneth Graeme
All along the backwater, through the rushes tall
Ducks are a-dabbling, up tails all
Ducks’ tails, drakes tails, yellow feet a quiver
Yellow bills all out of sight busy in the river
