Sharing our uniqueness

The wonderful volunteers who have become an important part of the Brighton Community were celebrated with a morning tea in May.

Clients and team members shared their appreciation for each volunteer and celebrated the new friendships that have formed.

Each volunteer has something unique and special to offer, and they bring their skills, passions and past experiences to their role.

Whether it be assisting with an event or activity or simply just being a friend, their time is greatly appreciated.

When asked what they enjoyed about volunteering, the answers were just as varied as the community itself. Here are a few of the things that our volunteers have gotten out of their time.

  • Giving back to the community
  • Friendship
  • Sharing stories
  • Sharing themselves

It wasn’t just the human volunteers that were celebrated, their four-legged friends joined in on the celebrations too.

Dogs are a regular fixture around Arcare Brighton; they have a special ability to make people light up.

Thank you to all our selfless and talented volunteers across all of our communities for sharing your time, friendship and skills.
