The Archibald Prize

The Arcare Oatlands team decided to give their clients a survey asking them what outings they would like to add to their list.

Many replied that they wanted to visit the Archibald Prize, so they filled the bus and away they went. One client Mavis was extremely excited by the outing and couldn’t wait.

The group was meet by their tour guide and were escorted around the gallery who gave them detailed information about each artist and their creation which was very insightful.

As the group wondered around the gallery taking in all the beautiful art, some of the clients found themselves reminiscing on old memories.

“If we went out on a date with a boy, we didn’t go out gallivanting, we would come to the art gallery” one of the residents reminded the group which brought smiles to their faces.

At the end of the day and on the groups return, Mavis explained to the team members that she loved going to the Archibald when she was younger and to be able to do it again at the age of 94 with her new Arcare friends made her happy.
