Tis’ the season of giving during Christmas at Arcare Slacks Creek

Tis’ the season of giving during Christmas at Arcare Slacks Creek as residents and families received special Christmas lunches and gifts.

Dressed as Santa Claus and an elf, Lifestyle Co-ordinator Tamara and Lifestyle Assistant Mary went around the residence, personally delivering presents of joy in the form of chocolates to everyone.

Individually wrapped and with handwritten names on them, the gifts brought smiles to both residents and families alike.

From young and old, everyone could not help by wave and say hi to Santa as he and his elf they greeted everyone with jolly laughter.

Even though we could not have our usual party in the dining and lounge rooms, our Arcare Slacks Creek community was still filled with love, joy and happiness as families spent some one-on-one time with their loved ones.

‘This has been a wonderful day for us. Dad really enjoys being here and we are definitely feeling the Christmas spirit, even if it is a little different this year,’ a family member commented.

Family member Irene also contributed to our Christmas celebrations as she thoughtfully decorated our courtyard with a variety of candy cane, tinsel and Christmas lights.

And our famous Christmas lunches were a big hit as residents and families enjoyed a delicious assortment of mash potato and gravy, vegetables and pork roast and more for dessert.

‘Christmas is my favourite season and the team here at Arcare Slacks Creek always do their best to make it special one for all of us,’ resident Noela said.
