Unearthed treasures gallery

Residents revealed their most prized possessions and shared the fascinating stories behind them at Arcare Maroochydore’s unearthed treasures gallery. The gallery was an eclectic mix of historical objects, paintings and collections.

Norma, who was an incredible athlete, proudly wore the medals she had won in the World Masters Games for swimming.

Many of the nursing staff were interested in seeing Ruth don a nurse’s uniform from the 1900s, and they discussed how the industry had changed over the years.

Everyone checked out Phil’s impressive penny farthing, while the music enthusiasts were keen on Lynette’s gramophone.

June explained the history behind her 100 year old doll and pram that she brought along.
