Wandering through the Dandenong Ranges

The Arcare Malvern East outing group, the Wednesday Wanderers never know where they might end up when they venture out on a bus outing. Every Wednesday the group visit a different place in and around Melbourne.

In February, the Wednesday Wanderers planned to spend every Wednesday in the month travelling to the Dandenong Ranges to explore some of the areas hot spots and hidden gems.

One day on the way to the Dandenong Ranges, the group felt a tad nostalgic and stopped off at the Darrell Lea Chocolate Factory outlet in Rowville.

“You can’t buy chocolate like this anymore.” One client said, as the group browsed the store.

After the group finished stocking up on their chocolate and licorice supply, everyone got back on the bus and headed towards the Dandenong Ranges.

Throughout the month the group explored the town of Kallista, where they browsed the local shops, visited Grants Local Picnic to watch the beautiful cockatoos and even had lunch at the Grants on Sherbrooke.

Everyone had a wonderful time, so great in fact, that no one wanted to return home!
