Winter beach outing

On a freezing, Melbourne Winter’s day, some of the clients from the Arcare Carnegie community, rugged up to go on a bus trip to Brighton Beach.

With the clients wearing their warmest clothes and draped in scarves and blankets, they made the journey to the beach.

Once arriving at the beach, the weather unfortunately took a turn for the worst, and the clients decided to remain inside the bus.

However the lifestyle team were able to drive right up to the water, allowing the clients to still enjoy the beach and its scenery, without having to endure the icy wind.

The clients enjoyed watching the waves crash, saying that there was something ‘relaxing’ about it.

On the way home from the beach, the clients decided to stop for an ice-cream.

Although the frozen treats aren’t typically eaten in winter, the clients took great delight in eating their ice-creams in the warmth of the bus.
