There were six cheers for Arcare Peregian Springs as they recently celebrated their 6th birthday.
Six years ago, the brand new residence open it’s doors to the Sunshine Coast community.
The 90 empty suites invited 90 new clients to create their own unique Arcare community.
Betty and Pamela were two of the original clients to have first moved into the residence.
Not only have they been good friends for the six years together, but they have made many more friends since!
The six year anniversary of the residence was celebrated with crowds of clients and team members.
Queensland State Manager Jennifer Tyrell also joined the party, opening the celebrations with a welcoming speech.
Jenny spoke about the great six years the residence has enjoyed and some exciting upcoming changes.
She thanked every team member for their endless effort and hard work that makes the Peregian Springs community so great.
The party continued with a special morning tea, where clients, families and team members came together to celebrate.
Celebrating such milestones gives clients a great sense of continuity and belonging.
Each clients’ uniqueness contributes to the characteristics of each residence.
They contribute to the friendships, the types of activities held, the stories shared and the story of that community.
Everyone was able to look back on the six year story of Arcare Peregian Springs and look forward to many more years.
Of course, the morning tea included a very large birthday cake!
Betty and Pamela proudly cut the cake in front of their friends and team members with big smiles.
Everyone enjoyed the cake almost as much as they enjoyed chatting away during the event.
Calling everyone together for such a celebration gave everyone a reason to socialise and celebrate – all on the common grounds of belonging to the awesome Peregian Springs community.
