Jonas, from Arcare Knox, came to Australia from Hungary. He used to play the flugelhorn: a brass instrument resembling a trumpet.
It was no surprise then, given his passion for music, that he wanted to learn a new instrument.
Recently he started taking lessons in African drumming, which is run by Lifestyle Coordinator Jacque who is a qualified African drumming teacher. Janos loves the group, and is impressed with his eagerness to continue learning new skills and talents.
Jacque commented, ‘We all had a good laugh when Janos started playing on two drums at once!’
The Knox Community have a very wise motto during their weekly shopping trips: ‘What happens on the bus trips stays on the bus trip!’
Recently, while out shopping in preparation for the Community Easter Fair, Mary had everyone laughing when she requested the bunny costume be worn.
Some clients prefer to go off and peruse the shops by themselves, but everyone always meets up again to enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake before heading back.
