The Arcare Burnside community recently went on an outing to Werribee Open Range Zoo.
A zoo trip had been highly requested by the clients for months. The lifestyle team finally agreed, and they told the clients to pick the day they wished to go.
The clients were beyond happy with the day they picked, as it was a beautiful 25 degree day at Werribee Zoo, with not a cloud in sight.
The group decided the best way to see all of the attractions at Werribee Zoo, would be to take a safari tour.
Once on board, the group travelled through arid landscapes and savannah grasslands to explore the open plains and learn about some of the world’s most endangered species. Whilst on the safari, the group were able to observe the giraffes, zebras, antelope, ostriches, camels and the mighty rhinoceros.
On the bus ride home from the zoo, the clients remarked how they loved visiting the zoo, as it reminded them of a simpler time, when they were young children.
