Andrea is a long-time volunteer in the Arcare Point Lonsdale Community and not one to make a fanfare about her incredible work. Andrea started out as a primary school teacher in a country school with only eight students in total. Following this, she taught at Corio West Primary and after getting married, changed from this role to running a post office at North Shore.
From here, she decided to pursue a position as a carer and worked for 15 years in the industry before retiring. Andrea continued volunteering for the residence she had worked at until it closed down. Many of these residents moved to Arcare Point Lonsdale, and after missing them greatly, Andrea too made the move.
Since then, Andrea has dedicated her time each week, spending time with the residents who she has made some very special relationships with.
