A group from the Caulfield Community were fascinated to view the Jane Austen fashion exhibition at the Glen Eira Art Gallery recently.
The exhibition showcased rare fashion, accessories and ephemera from the 18th century.
Among the treasures are empire line frocks, silk gowns and hand painted watercolours documenting the fashion of the era.
Lola and Kathleen bonded over their love for sewing and pointed out the intricate details in the garments on display.
May and Elanora were interested in playing with the old toys, like yoyos and spinning tops, that were popular in the era when Jane Austen was a child.
