In August, our 5-star aged care community, Arcare Caulfield recognised Daffodil Day.
Team members and clients were encouraged to dress in yellow for the day, to show their support for the cause.
The community had been preparing for the occasion for over a week, as the clients had been hand-making daffodils in their art program.
Team members had been working with the clients to craft daffodils from construction paper and pipe cleaners. The activity was a great opportunity for clients and team members to chat, get to know one another better and form closer relationships.
With a production line of cutting and gluing, the clients were able to make enough daffodil flowers to present one, to each team member.
The clients chose to wait to Daffodil Day present their daffodil creations to team members. The daffodils brought smiles to the faces of many team members, and they chose to wear the flowers with great pride throughout the day.
