Indian Independence Day is annually celebrated holiday on 15th August. The holiday commemorates India’s independence from the United Kingdom in 1947.
This year, the Arcare Epping community decided to recognise and celebrate the occasion with the help from team members and clients.
Team members and clients were encouraged to dress in colourful traditional Indian garments for the day. Many clients commented on the beautiful sarees that their carers wore.
At lunch time, Indian dishes such as butter chicken were offered up, and a few team members put on a Bollywood dance performance for the clients as they enjoyed their meal.
It was truly a day to remember, with everyone enjoying the festivities and the opportunity to celebrate Indian culture.
