Tap dancing seniors

Every year the Ros Hendy dancers visit Arcare Maidstone to put on their annual dance performance for the clients.

The Ros Hendy dancers started travelling to the Maidstone community 8 years ago, and have been coming back ever since.

The Ros Hendy dance group are made up of retired women, most of whom are in their 80’s. Many of the women in the group have a true passion and skill for dancing; this is truly demonstrated when they take over the dancefloor.

The dancing seniors put on a vibrant performance for the Maidstone community, changing songs, dance styles and costumes to keep the atmosphere lively and fun. The clients particularly enjoyed the rhythm and moment in their tap dance performance.

Many of the clients remarked during the performance, how they couldn’t believe the ages of some the performers and how they were able to move and groove so effortlessly.
