For this week’s edition of #PeopleofArcare we introduce Trish Hitchcock, Receptionist at Arcare Belmont. She is new to Arcare but has been a great asset to the opening of the new residence.
What do you enjoy about your role?
The beautiful surroundings, supportive managers, and my colleagues.
How does this company differ from others you’ve worked for?
Arcare have a strong focus on attention to detail and having all processes and procedures in place so we, as employees, have all the tools required to look after our residents to the highest standard.
What do you love about Arcare and working in Aged Care?
Working in aged care gives a great sense of purpose. It’s nice to leave work each day and know that you’ve played a part in someone’s day-to-day life. Arcare creates a beautiful environment for their residents as well as employees.
What are your favourite stories of working at your residence / with your team / with a client?
It’s been a unique and interesting experience being part of the team preparing to open a new residence.
What tips or advice would you give to someone looking to work in Aged Care?
Do it! The job satisfaction you get from working in aged care is addictive.
What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Anything related to food and cooking. I also enjoy travelling to different places.
