Arcare Noosa connects with local community through Glass Art

Arcare Aged Care thrives on building positive connections with local businesses as a means of keeping residents in touch with the community. Many residents have been in the community for a number of years having grown up or raised their families in the local schools, whilst some residents are new to the area and looking to explore the neighbourhood.

Our Lifestyle teams partner with our clinical teams (Personal Support Workers) to coordinate outings and visit local monuments. We also partner with local sporting and community organisations with a variety of initiatives. Please contact the Arcare residence near you or use our contact form to get in touch regarding community sponsorships.

Arcare Noosa in Noosaville recently engaged with Sean O’Donoghue, local Glass Artist who specialises in creating glass sculptures including birds. Our Lifestyle team commissioned Sean to create glass ornaments for residents to display in their personal suites.

Arcare encourages residents to personalise the suites with their own sentimental decor. Many residents house their personal hobbies including painting supplies or gardening materials for their personal garden.  See What do you do in aged care.

Resident Carolyn shared her excitement in seeing how a glass bird was created up close by Glass Artist Sean.

“I was looking for something unusual to give to our wonderful residents at Arcare Noosa, and we are very passionate about supporting our local traders.” Lifestyle Assistant, Daniele said. Learn more about Life at Arcare.
