Farewell to our wonderful friend Sue Story

Sue Story used to work here at Arcare Peregian Springs as a registered nurse.

When Sue left some years ago, she took on the job of being a student facilitator for university students completing their field placement.

And Sue has been continually coming here to the Arcare Peregian Springs residence with different students for at least four years now!

The amazing students that come along with her are all training to be registered nurses in the future.

As a result of their constant care, Sue and the students have all developed great friendships with the clients and the team members at Arcare Peregian Springs.

After many years of working as a nurse and university facilitator, Sue has made the decision to retire.

To express our feelings of gratitude to her, we put together a surprise farewell high tea.

Lifestyle Co-ordinator Di had informed Sue that one of the clients was celebrating an anniversary.

But it turned out to be a high tea for her as we surprised Sue with a gift, a card signed by everyone and a lovely bunch of roses.

Sue was overwhelmed but she delivered a touching speech, sharing her experience with her good friends around her.

She thanked all the clients and team members for being so welcoming to her and to her students for being so good.

From the team, clients and the students, we all want to wish Sue a very happy and long retirement!

She is a wonderful nurse, a caring facilitator and an even greater friend to us all.
